Press release: Gasunie Trade & Supply B.V. selects Microgen Aptitude
Microgen announced today that Gasunie Trade & Supply B.V. (“T&S”) based in Groningen, The Netherlands, has purchased a license for Microgen Aptitude, a market leading Application Platform Suite that offers Business Process Management, Business Rules, Service Orientated Architecture and Integration. T&S will use Microgen Aptitude to further strengthen the IT-support for it’s business needs.
“We were looking for a flexible solution which would enable a uniform and efficient way of working and would allow business users to run analysis comparisons on results.” said Willem Bousema, Project Manager for T&S. “Microgen Aptitude’s user-configurable Business Process Management and Business Rule capabilities represented a significant reason for the choice for this platform” he concluded.
Deregulation over recent years has made The Netherlands one of the most competitive gas markets in Europe. T&S will use this flexible and configurable solution to rapidly adapt to changes as the gas market continues to evolve. The solution needs to be flexible enough to address individual customer’s needs, to adapt to ongoing market changes and form a basis for continued improvements in T&S’s business process.
“The key requirement of the project is the delivery of a solution to users with the flexibility and usability of spreadsheets but with the control, audit, security and performance benefits associated with a core data processing solution” commented Mark Owen, Principal Consultant in Microgen’s Utilities business “Our unique blend of specialist energy, financial and technical consultancy skills, combined with the GUI driven Business Rules of Microgen Aptitude is critical to the success of this solution” he concluded.
Microgen Aptitude is the core architectures of many of Microgen’s software products and is a fully integrated Application Platform Suite that delivers Business Process Management, Business Rules, Integration, and Web Services technologies. Using a modern, scalable architecture and an interactive graphic interface, Microgen Aptitude allows users to rapidly model and then fully automate business processes with unsurpassed flexibility. Crucially, Microgen Aptitude conforms to a Service Oriented Architecture and can be used to both publish and orchestrate Web Services as part of single business process or larger application.
