Press release: G.J. Lankhorst succeeds H.G. Dijkgraaf as CEO of Gasunie Trade & Supply 

Gertjan Lankhorst has been appointed as the successor to Henk Dijkgraaf as Chief Executive Officer of trading company Gasunie Trade & Supply B.V. in Groningen, with effect from 1 September 2006. The Minister for Economic Affairs has approved the appointment.

Mr. Dijkgraaf took up the post of CEO of the former N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie on 1 July 2004. His years of experience in the energy world and his knowledge of the Dutch gas sector were applied to good effect during the run up to and the events following the legal division of the company. This division took place on 1 July 2005, following which, as CEO of Gasunie Trade & Supply, he is leading the company that is one of the largest suppliers of natural gas in Europe in the wholesale sector.

Until recently, Mr. Lankhorst was a director-general for Energy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs. He is well-informed about the gas industry in the Netherlands and Europe . Since 1 January 2006 he has been responsible for the creation of a knowledge institute for mobility policy on behalf of the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management.
