The HEe boiler, gas heat pump, mini-CHP and hybrid central heating boiler have now reached a stage where they are ready
to be launched onto the market. GasTerra is concentrating on publicising and promoting these and other gas applications, supported by manufacturers and suppliers. GasTerra and manufacturers within the industry have established a number of foundations with this aim in mind.
The mission of the Smart Power Foundation (SPF) is to expand market opportunities for the application of mini-
and micro-CHP and the associated HEe boilers. In order to make this run smoothly, the SPF initiates and encourages technological developments and tackles problem areas relating to installation technology,
regulations and grant awards.
The Smart Cooling Foundation (SCF) is actively working on the application of gas heat pumps in the utilities sector, offices and industry. Gas heat pumps are efficient at converting energy for useful heating or cooling purposes.
The Smart Hybrid Foundation (SHF) is a trade association established in 2009 to promote the application of combined air and water (hybrid) heat pumps in existing residential housing.
The SHF wants to contribute towards sustainable practices in this area.
Power2Go is a joint venture set up by suppliers, fitters and experts in the field of mini-CHP. By providing independent information
and highlighting how both the user and the environment will benefit, Power2Go is trying to increase the use of CHP in the built-up environment.
The Smart Ways with Gas Foundation is committed to reducing natural gas consumption. The foundation wants to give a boost to the use of new energy-efficient technologies and/or
gas applications, including the HEe boiler, gas heat pumps and gas tumble dryers.
