An integrated European gas market (centred in north-west Europe) has come into being since liberalisation. Norwegian, Russian and Dutch gas, with increasing volumes of LNG, flows through the European network of pipelines. National borders are becoming less and less important. GasTerra is one of the significant players in the European gas market, along with companies such as the Russian GazProm and the Norwegian Statoil.
