The market

Deregulation has meant that the gas market has entered a new stage of development. Several gas trading hubs (also known as spot markets) have been established in Europe. The Dutch Virtual TTF (Title Transfer Facility) has expanded enormously over the last five years. Even so, you can still do business the "traditional" way with direct B2B contracts, which still exist in addition to the spot markets. Many customers want to feel secure both in terms of price and delivery and so they choose this method. European initiatives focusing on transparent trade and security of supply can count on GasTerra's support, but we do believe that the private sector must retain enough room to operate within the existing regulatory framework.
