Chief Communications Officer
A.J.P. Buijs

Anton Buijs was born in Emmeloord on 27 November 1956. He began his career at Amnesty International in Amsterdam as editor-in-chief of its Dutch-language monthly magazine Wordt Vervolgd. From 1979 he worked for the publisher Kluwer in Deventer as editor of various trade and management journals. He moved to Esso Nederland (ExxonMobil) in 1986 where he has held a variety of communications roles, most recently as Communications Manager of ExxonMobil Benelux.

He has been Communications and Public Affairs Manager at GasTerra since 1 August 2009.

Education:
  • Bachelor degree in linguistics and Dutch literature
